With sellout crowds of Song of Myself at this year’s Capital Fringe Festival, Sanctuary Theatre and the Performing Knowledge Project has added a special performance of the classic poem at BloomBar, July 26, at 7:00. BloomBars asks for a $10 donation at the door to support its wide ranging community arts work.
In Song of Myself, “Oliver turns required reading into a required experience (DC Theatre Scene)” and “has the vocal chops … to make everything vital and essential listening (Broadway World).”
BloomBars is located at 3222 11th St. NW, Washington DC. You can find parking on the streets around the venue; Columbia Heights Metro is only three blocks away.
Song of Myself also has one more Fringe performance at Caos of F Street, 923 F St. NW. It’s a double-header Saturday, with the Fringe performance happening at 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
