Old Poems, New Poems, Your Poems

naomi-ayala Our Featured Poet at our January 19 Performetry will be Naomi Ayala. She will be preceded by Michael’s performance of “Silence a Fable” by Edgar Allan Poe, first performed in 2011 as part of his Embodying Poe, one-man show at the Capital Fringe Festival.

After Naomi, we have an open mic, so bring your most compelling “family friendly” piece of short prose, poem, or song.

Performetry runs from 6:00 to 8:00 at BloomBars, 3222 11th Street, NW, Washington, DC. Street parking can be got, but come a little early to find your space.

Michael will make his soup and whole wheat bread, with Elizabeth following with her special vegan dessert.

We ask for a suggested donation of $10 to support the good work of BloomBars – Community-Oriented Arts Center
