After several Meet & Greets, we launched our poetry and performance workshops at Sarah’s Circle on Thursday, May 9; and it was a wonderful success.  Five wonderful “young” women joined Michael Ingram and I as we explored poetry and memories of childhood.

Meeting twice a month every month through August, we entered September to begin the performance aspect of the workshops. A poetry celebration was scheduled for Thursday, September 26 at 6:00 pm.

Beginning mid-September, however, we would start filming our five participants as they performed up to five of their most celebrated works.

Joining Michael Ingram and I was Chad Lawrence, our videographer. Behind the scenes was our film editor Aashish Edakadampil. On September 18, 19, and 20 we filmed our poets. We sent the rough footage off to Aashish. And the magic began.

Now we have our five short videos of some of the most wonderful poetry on earth.

We showed one of the pieces at our highly successful celebration September 26.

Michael Ingram and I, and the whole Brave Old World Team could not be happier.

We cannot wait for the next round to begin.
