The Performing Knowledge Project currently has three performances pieces in development:

MotherStory

Mother’s Work

With MotherStory, scheduled to open this summer, The Performing Knowledge Project explores exciting new territory:
  • a collective community creation that brings together over 35 artists from across the DC region in an aesthetic celebration of the mother.
  • additionally, community members will be engaged in the creation of the performance, adding not only their presence to the celebration but their memories, images, and voices.

Song of Myself: the Whitman Project

With Song of Myself: the Whitman Project, The Performing Knowledge Project continues its celebration of 19th century American poets.

Following on the heals of its highly successful Embodying Poe: Poetry in Performance, the Project now tackles the master song of American literature, fusing music, film, photography, graphics, and voice.

Song of Myself is scheduled to open in winter 2013.

Technausea

Finally, The Performing Knowledge Project tackles the zeitgeist of the modern world: TECHNOLOGY.

Mosaico Stazione centrale di MilanoIn the early stages of development, we are gathering texts, iconography, and discourse.  This future project will delve into the relationship that men and women have with this fast moving, life-transforming dimension of our world.
